A Norway passport is an international travel document issued to nationals of Norway for the purpose of international travel. It also serves as proof of Norwegian citizenship. It is valid for 10 or 5 years, depending on your age and preference. It is red in colour, with the coat of arms of Norway emblazoned in the top left of the front cover. It has the words Kongeriket NorgeKongeriket NoregNorgga gonagasriika and Kingdom of Norway (Kingdom of Norway in Bokmål, Nynorsk, Northern Sami and English respectively) inscribed in the bottom left corner and the word PassPássa and Passport below. It contains 34 pages, with a data page and a signature page. The data page has a digitized photograph of the passport holder, data about the passport, and data about the passport holder. The signature page has your signature and your personal number. The passport also has a machine-readable zone and an electronic chip that stores your biometric data, such as fingerprints and facial image.
